Hi, I’m Suzannah, the aligned mum
My journey with yoga started in a slightly different way. As someone who is Indian-English, it was a way for me to connect with a part of my heritage. I first learnt whilst staying in India with family, where a teacher would come to the house and guide me - and teach me how to build my own practice.
Over the years my practice evolved. I tried different styles, worked towards more challenging postures and explored what my body could do. But over time yoga became less about the poses and more about how it felt
During more challenging times yoga has became a space where I could process what I was feeling, rather than just push through. It helped me find a bit of quiet and reconnect with myself when everything else felt noisy.
These days, life is full. I’m juggling a day job, teaching yoga and family life, with my daughter right at the centre of it all. I don’t always get the balance right, but I wouldn’t be without any of those parts.
My Approach
For me, being an aligned mum isn’t about having it all together. It’s about paying attention - physically and mentally - and responding when something feels off, rather than just pushing through.
It’s creating space to breathe, setting boundaries where they’re needed and letting go of the pressure to get everything right or what others think.
It’s not about perfection and it’s definitely not about getting into the “perfect” pose or looking like everyone else. It’s about finding a way to feel more balanced, more you, in the middle of real life.
A bit about my training
I hold my 200 hour teacher training certificate with Yoga Professionals, as well as a 30 hour aerial yoga teacher training. More than anything, my, more than, 20 years of experience practicing yoga has shapes how I teach.
If you’re looking for a way to move, breathe and take a bit of time back for yourself I’d love you to joint me.
What to expect
My classes are not about pushing yourself to the limit or keeping up with anyone else. They’re a chance to build strength and confidence, whilst also having space to rest and reset.
I care a lot about how my classes feel. I want you to feel welcome and supported - a place where you can show up as you are, and over time feel part of a community.
